Fun indoor activities that you can do with your kids

Kids love playing outside, but you need to find some indoor activities to keep your kids occupied with the cold winter months approaching. Here are 10 fun indoor activities that you can do with your kids.

1. Make a chalkboard

You can make a chalkboard big enough for your kids to write on and draw pictures on. You can buy chalkboard paint at any hardware store and paint the wall. You can also use a chalkboard paint pen to write words and draw pictures on the wall.

2. Make a fort

You can use blankets and sheets to make a fort for your kids to hide in and play in. You can make a small fort for one kid or a large fort to play with a group of kids.

3. Make a puppet show

You can use a stick, some socks, and a scrap of fabric to make a puppet for your kids to use to put on a puppet show. Kids will love using their imagination to make up a story and perform it for friends and family.

4. Make a family scrapbook

You can make a family scrapbook by getting a hardback book and putting photos and other memorabilia from your kids’ lives in it. You can add a note about the event in the book and then take the book around to show your kids’ grandparents and friends so they can read about your kids’ lives.

5. Make a playdough recipe

You can make a playdough recipe by combining 2 cups of flour, 1/2 cup of salt, 1 tsp of cream of tartar, 1 cup of water, and 2 tbsp of vegetable oil. Once you mix all of the ingredients, you can add food coloring or other colors to make colored play-dough.

6. Make a paper airplane

You can make a paper airplane by folding a paper in half and then half again to make a triangle. You can open it up again and then fold the two corners in to make the wings. You can then fold the bottom corner up to make the tail.

7. Make a paper football

8. Make a hopscotch game

You can make a hopscotch game by drawing a grid on the floor and then drawing the squares for each number in the grid. You can mark each square with a number and then make some squares for each number bigger than the number, so the number 6 is bigger than the number 1, and the number 7 is bigger than the number 2.

9. Make an indoor obstacle course

You can make an indoor obstacle course by making hurdles out of cardboard boxes. You can use blankets to make a tunnel, and you can make a jump out of pillows. You can make your kids try and crawl across the floor, jump over the hurdles, crawl through the tunnel, and jump over the pillows.

10. Make a play area in the basement

You can make a play area in your basement by putting up a tent for your kids to play in. You can also put a mattress down on the floor for your kids to play on. You can also put a bean bag in the tent for your kids to play with.
